Balingsholm Herrgård, STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN
Balingsholm Herrgård is one of the most romantic and picturesque places I’ve had the pleasure of working at as a wedding photographer and videographer in Stockholm. With its beautiful manor setting right by the lake, it offers the perfect mix of elegance, nature, and intimacy – an ideal location for capturing amazing wedding photos and cinematic wedding films.
The herrgård itself has a classic charm, with its historic architecture and warm atmosphere. It feels grand but still welcoming, which makes it a wonderful location for wedding portraits and storytelling through film. Every corner of Balingsholm Herrgård has character, giving couples plenty of options for unique and beautiful images.
What truly makes this location stand out is the lakeside setting. The water adds a serene and romantic touch to wedding photography and videography, especially during golden hour when the light reflects across the lake. Those soft, glowing moments are some of my favorites to capture, as they create cinematic scenes that look straight out of a love story.
Surrounding the manor are lush green areas, open fields, and charming forest paths that add even more variety for photos and video. Whether it’s an intimate walk in the gardens, wide cinematic shots by the water, or a romantic kiss on the pier, Balingsholm Herrgård offers lots of opportunities for creativity.
Despite being so close to Stockholm, the location feels like a private retreat where couples can celebrate surrounded by nature and beauty. It’s peaceful, exclusive, and perfectly designed for weddings that want both elegance and intimacy.
As a wedding photographer and videographer, I love working at Balingsholm Herrgård because it allows me to capture both the grand moments of a wedding and the quiet, emotional details that make the day so special. If you’re planning a wedding in Stockholm and want a location with lakeside romance, natural beauty, and historic charm, Balingsholm Herrgård is truly one of the best choices.
